Inspiration from a Friend

About a year ago, I received a Facebook friend request from an old high school acquaintance. We didn’t know each other that well in high school, but we have really connected in the last few months. Like me, she loves nature and loves creativity. She is an amazing photographer. And I do mean amazing!

A month or so ago, she kept a photo diary along with commentary that she posted to her Facebook audience on a bird family starting a nest, then the taking care of the tiny chicks until they left the nest. I looked forward to those post every few days. My friend is funny and quite a good little story teller.

I was looking through her photos a while back and came up with the idea to paint some of her birds for my summer collection. I got her permission of course, and I was off - painting bird after bird after bird. There were a couple that gave me fits, but I didn’t give up.

At this point I have six paintings. I hope to have a few more by the release date of July 9th.

My friend is Tina Etherton and you will be hearing more about her and her bird photography in a later blog.

I’m excited about this collaboration with Tina. Not only is she a fellow creative and nature lover, she is a kind and loving soul. I’m very honored to work with her on this project.

Stick around for more details to follow…

Sending my best,

Connie
